Goals and Initiatives for the Upcoming Year • Complete Commissioner CORE 2.0, including changes in rules, laws, policies, and procedures. • Integrate the Proficiency-Based Individual Education and Training Needs Assessment (IETNA) tool for commissioners throughout the state. • Offer the first specialized class on probable cause within the Proficiency-Based Education and Training System for commissioners. • Design, develop, and implement the second PBE specialized course for the commissioners. • Make available all CORE lessons and resources on the Judicial College website offering commissioners on-demand access to CORE materials after they have completed and received credit for the self-paced online course in Canvas. Courtroom Clerk Work Group • Completed drafting Courtroom Clerk CORE proficiencies. • Sequenced CORE modules per job behavior. • Grouped behaviors into modules and associated behaviors and proficiencies to individual lessons within modules. • Identified initial Courtroom Clerk CORE design plans. Goals and Initiatives for the Upcoming Year • Complete the Courtroom Clerk CORE design plan in preparation for CORE development. • Send behaviors and proficiencies for review by an independent evaluation panel. • Revise courtroom clerk behaviors and proficiencies based on the comments from the independent evaluation panel. • Begin development of the Courtroom Clerk CORE, a course that all newly-appointed courtroom clerks will complete as foundational awareness, knowledge, and skills to execute the job responsibilities with proficiency. • Rolled out Judicial Assistant CORE in March 2020 for all newly appointed and existing Judicial Assistants to complete as foundational awareness, knowledge, and skills to execute the job responsibilities with proficiency. • Began collaborating with Judiciary webmasters to place all CORE lessons and resources on the Judicial College website to allow judicial assistants on-demand access to CORE materials after completing the self-paced online course in Canvas. Goals and Initiatives for the Upcoming Year • Complete development of the Professional Correspondence course with both face- to-face and Instructor-Led Distance Learning options which are a mandatory component of Judicial Assistant CORE. • Offer the Professional Correspondence in both formats to existing JA CORE participants. • Begin Phase 2 to identify new members by soliciting additional subject matter experts (SMEs) to the Judicial Assistant PBE Work Group allowing existing members to retire from their SME role. • Begin identifying specialized and related proficiencies in preparation for design and development of specialized and related courses. • Outline a revision schedule for Judicial Assistant CORE, including any changes in rules, laws, policies, and procedures. • Make available all CORE lessons and resources on the Judicial College website offering judicial assistants on-demand access to CORE materials after they have completed and received credit for the self-paced online course in Canvas.
